Green Man Festival Announce 2024 Line-Up

Wales’ largest music, science and arts festival, Green Man, has announced the first wave of acts to be playing at its 2024 event.

Yuck Volume Eight cover stars Sleaford Mods are joined by Sampha, Big Thief and Jon Hopkins as headliners for the four-day festival (or a week if you’re hardcore settlers) in the picturesque surroundings of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park from the 15th - 18th of August.

Tickets for this year’s festival sold out in just two hours back in September following another brilliant weekend in the Welsh Mountains a few weeks prior, you can read our review of 2023’s edition here.

Further down the bill on the first wave announcement are pioneering Scottish alternative rockers The Jesus and Mary Chain, cult outfit Fat White Family, former Yuck alumni Arlo Parks, Maruja, bdrmm, Deptford Northern Soul Club and Blue Bendy, Northern spoken-word queen Nadine Shah, Super Furry’s offshoot Das Koolies and London auteurs Black Country, New Road.

Also on the line-up are instrumental post-rock quartet Explosions In The Sky, American alternative stalwarts Blonde Redhead, British songwriter and musician This Is The Kit, fast-rising indie rockstar Blondshell, and experimental rockers Bar Italia.

Green Man is one of the four remaining large independent festivals in the UK and is the only large festival to refuse sponsorship. Sonic freedom is retained by festival programmers, and independent Welsh food & beverage producers showcase and sell their produce to new customers.

The magic of Green Man lies not just in its scenery and music; the festival site is made up of 10 individual areas, offering a diverse range of events to accompany its incredible line-up, boasting art installations spread throughout the scenic Welsh valley.
