Manchester Psych Fest Announces 'Cactus Square’

Manchester Psych Fest has announced their new festival hub for 2023, ‘Circle Square’ will be transformed into ‘Cactus Square’, acting as the festival’s gateway featuring a slew of activities, workshops, meet and greets and unique street food.

North Tap Room in ‘Cactus Square’ will be home to meet & greet signings with MPF acts The Murder Capital, Sorry, The Mysterines, The Lovely Eggs and Say She She. 

Elsewhere, some of Manchester’s finest street food purveyors including The Holy Mountain Kitchen, Seitan’s Kebabs, Hello Oriental and Little Boa Boys will be serving up their delicious menus throughout the day.

For the first time, Psych Fest will host an intimate pop-up cinema in Lass O’Gowrie on Charles St); screenings include psychedelic cinematic favourites like ‘Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas’, ‘DIG’, ‘Anonymous Club’ and even a UK festival exclusive screening of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s immersive tour chronicle ‘Chunky Shrapnel’ in The Pink Room at YES.

Grosvenor Street’s Sandbar will welcome talks and workshops such as Tropica Cacti’s Terrarium Workshop and ‘From The Stage to the Picket Line, and festival-goers can get involved in screen print workshops, buy merch or even a limited edition bespoke festival tote designed by Lucy Grainge.
