Rachel Chinouriri: 'Beautiful Disaster'

Rachel Chinouriri has returned with a stunning video for her new single ‘Beautiful Disaster,’ in which she has collaborated with rising star Sam Dotia.

The track is an honest and heartfelt portrayal of the isolation and stillness felt in the midnight hours, told through Chinouriri’s powerful falsettos and juxtaposed by Dotia’s distinctive underlying vocals as they seamlessly entwine around a sparse yet immersive instrumental backdrop.

Speaking about the track, Rachel said: “We imagine a woodland and clear sky. We came up with a place and described our own reasons for why we would be there. When I was growing up I would often go to woodland areas for some peace. I remember the smells, the air, the wind, the stillness. I love people, but I love being alone in nature.”

Chinouriri has once again proved herself a powerful singer-songwriter and this track scores a remarkable development in her sound.

‘Beautiful Disaster’ comes in the wake of her debut EP, which was released last year to critical acclaim, and is the first taste of her new project, set to drop later in 2020.
